Ahh, cherry blossom season. How I love your pretty pink petals, obligatory work-related parties and subsequent liver damage, and seasonal product placement opportunities.
Fortunately, I’ll be able to cuddle a new pink Doreamon plushie to ease my battered guts. This two-tone pink and white “Sakura Doraemon” made his debut at the SK Japan booth at the AOU 2008 arcade game expo over the weekend, and also comes in keyring form. (more…)

Friday, February 15th, 2008While flicking around on the Mainichi’s Japanese site today, as I am wont to do, it occurred to me that there is some interesting geeky news on here, news that gets something in the range of bugger all exposure in English.
So here is my attempt to redress the situation. I’m going to try and translate articles a couple of times a week, taken from places like Mantanweb. Despite the fact that stuff in there is old. Hmmm.
