Yu-sama’s Birthday in Ikebukuro
Last weekend, Paul, Laila, his mates Kaye and Dan, Yoko, Tomoe and I joined Yu-sama for her birthday in Ikebukuro.
Dinner was at Neo Fooding Bar Mysterious - an overpriced, vaguely space-themed restaurant chain, with the one saving grace of having waitresses in UV stockings. This was followed by karaoke at 747, where, yet again, I perpetrated sung “Born To Be Wild”, Buddha help me.
Everywhere we went was pretty dark, and since I’m not a big fan of flash photography I end up chucking a shedload of photos away. Mostly because they look like they’ve been taken by Rog “Crippling Arthritis” McBlurry.
(Also, I’m not really happy with the white balance, although I’m considering switching to RAW capture and correcting it on import in Photoshop, as opposed to tweaking the levels settings.)
To remedy this, I’m pondering a faster lens, such as the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC, for my next camera purchase. However, since I’m broke at the moment, I might have to take more shots of teh sexy Tomoe to flog for gear.
