Dead ZuneAfter months of noble service, striving valiantly against the Lovecraftian demons of UselessSoftwareUpdates-am Sharrathoth and LousyBatteryLife-Brahurgh, my Zune finally developed a headache, and despite shouting some of my finest obscenities at it for daring to die on me (it survived a drop on the road from my scooter, believe it or not), I was forced to retire it.

So there I was, Googling idly for a suitable replacement when Cam suggested the iPod Touch. (more…)

Dead domain blues

A mix-up with my old hosting meant my dr-rogg.co.uk domain didn’t get renewed this year, hence the outage for a couple of days. Ooops.

On the plus side, Nominet have Fool’s Gold by the Stone Roses as their hold music, which I first listened to on my first ever electronic album about 10 years ago. When they finally picked up I nearly told them to bugger off and never disturb me again mid-groove.

Just a quick note to say that 1up has a great interview with Nobuo Uematsu, probably the most famous videogame composer IN TEH WORLD.

And who rather charmingly suggests the Super Mario Theme replace Kimigayo as Japan’s national anthem.
